I was going to make some comparison pictures here, but I don't really have enough time right now, so I decided to just replace the pictures with the video.
John Smith is a medieval texture pack that was originally created for PC version of Minecraft by JimStoneCraft. It is 32x32, so there might be a little performance loss compared to the default textures, but it looks much more detailed than the default one. Great texture pack, especially for medieval builds as shown in the video above!
LB Photo Realism
The LB Photo Realism texture pack is a 64x64 texture pack, so you might need a quite powerful device to run it smoothly. It does look good though, with a lot of details. If you're a fan of big amounts of pixels, this might be a good pack for you. Personally, I like more simple texture packs, such as the Pixel Reality pack that I will mention next.
Pixel Reality, created by Wedhro, is a 16x16 texture pack for Pocket Edition. I think it looks great for all kinds of builds – maybe not modern ones, but pretty much everything else. Personally, this might be my favorite texture pack for MCPE, as it fits Minecraft pretty well.
